This one day programme Directors of Medical Education and Heads of Schools creates space for attendees to explore and clarify their own roles as leaders. They distinguish between their strategic and operational roles, and resolve conflicts of interests and clear up clashes of responsibility between them. From this they develop a more co-ordinated and integrated approach to clinical leadership training and development for trainees.

Feedback from the programme:
Importance of improved communication channels with the Deanery
A useful, simple analysis of how to pay attention to main aspects of leadership (Adair model). Knew about it but hadn’t worked through the ideas properly yet. Excellent facilitator kept us on track and allowed space for discussion. Thank you.
Increased communication – regular meetings with admin support, not just ad hoc
The difference between output and outcome. Strategic, operational and tactical aspects of leadership

Good insight to different issues related to leadership
